Gandhinagar: The grand Installation Ceremony of the Lions Club of Gandhinagar Metro Global, under Lions Clubs International, District 3232-B3, was held at the banquet hall of Club Babylon. The occasion marked the beginning of a new chapter of service, fellowship and collective leadership for the club.
During the ceremony, Dr. Naeem Tirmizi was formally installed as the President of the Lions Club of Gandhinagar Metro Global by the Installing Officer and Past District Governor, Shri Devjibhai Patel (PDG).
District Governor Shri L. K. Vaghela graced the occasion with his distinguished presence and extended his blessings and best wishes to the newly installed President, Dr. Naeem Tirmizi, and his entire team for a successful and service-oriented tenure.
Hon’ble Dr. C. J. Chavda (MLA) was invited as the Chief Guest for the ceremony.
The distinguished gathering also included First Vice District Governor Shri Bharatbhai Sheth, Cabinet Secretary Shri Piyushbhai Shah, Protocol Officer Shri Atulbhai Kotiyar, Zone Chairperson Dr. Bina Patel, GET Shri Mukeshbhai Patel and Dr. Ishwari, along with senior Lions District officials, club members, invited dignitaries and guests.
The spirit of Lions’ globally recognised motto, “We Serve,” remained at the heart of the ceremony. Lions leaders and members discussed the organisation’s goals for the coming year, with a strong focus on community service, humanitarian initiatives and creating a positive impact on society through collective efforts.
In his first address as President, Dr. Naeem Tirmizi expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest, District Governor, Installing Officer, District officials, Lions leaders, his team, fellow club members, distinguished dignitaries and all the guests for their presence, encouragement and confidence in him.
Dr. Tirmizi also expressed his special gratitude to his wife, Mrs. Parvin Tirmizi, his daughter-in-law Nusba, and his entire family, who were present at the ceremony, for their constant support and encouragement.
Accepting the responsibility with humility, Dr. Tirmizi stated that during the coming year, he and his team would make every possible effort to uphold the values of Lions Clubs International, carry forward the spirit of “We Serve,” and work sincerely towards achieving the organisation’s goals.
Sharing his philosophy of leadership, Dr. Tirmizi said: “My team and my club members are my true strength. As President, I do not wish to lead by walking ahead of my team; I wish to lead by walking alongside them. With teamwork, dedication and the spirit of ‘We Serve,’ we will move forward together, continue striving and endeavour to make a meaningful difference in society.”
He further emphasised that leadership is not merely about holding a position; true leadership is about bringing people together, recognising the strength of every member and transforming collective strength into service for society.
The ceremony concluded on an inspiring note, with the newly installed team reaffirming its commitment to strengthening the Lions ideals of service, fellowship, compassion, friendship and teamwork. With a firm resolve to make the coming year more service-oriented, active and impactful for society, the Installation Ceremony concluded successfully, followed by dinner for the dignitaries, Lions members and guests.
